Effects of Aging and Neurological Disorders on
Bimanual Hand Function
This study assesses how force and torque are generated in a complementary manner between the hands. Building on experiences and observations in clinical populations, we are interested in investigating how neural disorders such diabetic neuropathies affect functional hand use, particularly in actions of daily living. This line of investigation will involve both sensory and motor evaluation of individuals with a spectrum of diabetic related neuropathies.
